When someone says, "You are asking for it" during a disagreement...

What is the other person asking for exactly?

Either a wet noodle duel or a whip duel. Depending on the situation. 🙃

Real Guns or squirt guns... keep on going.

This is an either or situation.

My point is to stress the types of escalation can varie from the current point. No matter what the current level is. The intent is an escalation.

Kids even do this playfully. Say wrestling. After saying that they will wrestle harder.

Being literal doesn't help the understanding of this "INTENT". 😊

A tickling fight could even be the reason for the statement "Now you are asking for it".
