When was the first time in life you realized how shallow people could be about other's physical appearances?

For me, it was back in 3rd grade when I was 9 years old. Though most kids in the class were 8 if I recall correctly as I started 1 year late. We had come back to school from a break in that same year. Can't quite recall if it was the Thanksgiving...

Shallow? She held me down and cut off my pretty long hair to make us a conservative family with Nazi hair. Not trivial. Just cruel and so easy.

@Roundandroundwego Wow. That's horrible. Sorry to hear. No one should EVER have the right to do that to you or anyone else. Good thing now though that as an adult probably no one can control the length of your hair.
