People are so fickle

As I've stated before, I'm trying to get a more booming social life.

I use bumble bff the friend-making side of the app.

We chatted for about a week, hung out once (it went great), I offered a few other outings we could go to this month. She asked for the info so I sent it in a text.

1 day passed
2 days passed- I asked if she was able to view the info

Her: "Oh sorry, work has been really busy, I'll look at it when I get off"

Today makes day 3.

I wont text her again.

When we spoke while we were in person, she told me she works from home, has plenty of down time and sometimes gets off work early when things aren't busy.

Why do people give the runaround?

I almost feel like I should stop being honest with people.

Maybe I should just lie and tell them everything they want to hear🤷🏾‍♀️

"Yea I have tons of friends already, I love my job, I love everything about my life and everything is just great"!

It seems like if you don't have a friend circle for them to join, they don't want anything to do with you.

I have plenty of things that I do, I'm NOT a homebody.

IDK, I do not understand making new friends as an adult.

Not really looking for suggestions, just people to listen.
I've tried everything as far as making friends go

I've heard from her since this was posted

I sound like a pessimist old fart here but the saying goes “the world is going to hell in a handbasket”

More like the world is going to hell in an App.

Jokes aside … learning new hobbies is the way to meet and engage with people who ‘get you’ .. and I feel real life is where it’s at

Don’t lose heart … plenty of folk feel the same as you … I recently joined a dance class with a friend of mine to socialise more, it’s a laugh and we get our workout at the same time

Keep going 🦋

@SW-User I've joined a workout class too. Hard to meet anyone when there is a class in session directly before your class. So you can't go in and mingle with other people who are early.

The music is loud so what am I supposed to say to the people next to me?

Before it's even over, people are walking out
