Do ‘first impressions’ always last?

Or do you often find yourself having the wrong impression about someone and you realize you were mistaken about how you first “saw” them?

I never make a good first impression. Meeting new people is always hard for me. I always have to tell them about my tourettes. After that I just hope my outbursts aren't too bad. It's even worse when i don't get the chance to explain and people see me having one.
