mrmoose has reappeared at the top of my page

When viewing his profile his last post was 3 years ago but his profile says he was online weeks ago?
I was led to believe he passed away and not having posted for 3 years I am inclined to agree with this. So why has he reappeared at the top of my page?

If you had friended each other while he was online years ago, the system will show his profile across the top on your page. I have five friends who have passed away and occasionally their profiles all appear. It’s eerie. 👻

I just went on his profile. Pretty sad, he seemed like a nice guy.

It said the last time he was online was August 26, 2019.

@MsSwan My guess is that I gave up VIP and they are trying to get me to take it up again.
When I click on - exact date - I get this message
See Last Online Times
Know more precisely the last time a user was online.

Did you look at the profile, or posts. I have noticed when you do this the user then appears in the line up.

He appeared at the top of my page unprompted.
Does this mean when members die their profile remain here forever? Wondering wondering.
