Feel like a rookie

Having lunch at my favorite diner, where I have been a regular for some 20 years. See a couple of old-timer couples that I recognize on a nodding basis. As one couple gets up to leave, she stops to say to the other woman "You look familiar". The other woman responds "I've been coming here regularly for 30 years." Both saw right through me, as if I was wallpaper. New kid on the block.
