I’m Not Arguing Anymore

Unless I’m called to. I’m tired of the back and forth about vaccines and masks. I’m done participating in it. I may give my opinion, but the trolls who just want to get down in the weeds, and argue on and on, I’m not playing that game.

Worse than this is those who make neutral posts, not about politics, but real life experiences, into a political argument. They just have to express their contrariness and hate to a topic that doesn’t merit this hostile response.

I’m done with it. I want to be around decent, kind, and those with at least a modicum of empathy. The rest are of no interest to me.

Any post you write can be limited to your followers / friends rather than the general SW public. That way the Branch Covidians and all those who have swallowed the Fact Checkers' Almanach whole DON'T SEE IT and so can't add their trite criticisms.

Or, systematically block them as they reveal themselves.

Either of these is a feel-good technique. Necessary to protect our sanity in the face of the brainwashed walking dead
@WalterF then how do you meet the ones that are new then.?. and side question can you unblock someone.? i have only blocked two and one i think i did in haste so would like to correct that. thank you mark

I know. I forget to press the button, or whatever it is, and wherever it is, before I post. I wish we could just set it to a mode without having to think about it for every post. @WalterF

You can unblock them from your block list. I don’t recall where it is, but somewhere in your settings I think. @markansas

@markansas As I understand it, you can unblock people, but then you have to wait 24(?) hours before you can message them.
@WalterF i did that this morning as for the time limit that i do not know. this is my first time here and did that when i got covid and needed someone or something to talk too. now its been over a month and i am well and still learning. my lesson for today is i need to hear both sides to be able to understand where some one else is coming from. so at nite when i am tired i sometimes get a bit snippy and am working on that also. thank you all for being here. mark
