I generally don't mind my roommates, but they're easily some of the dumbest people I've ever met.
My roommates on the other side of the apartment clogged up their toilet, so they bought a toilet plunger. The other bathroom -- which is the one I and my compadre use -- has a plunger. So now we have two plungers, and their's is of significantly lower quality.
The same roommates bought a package of toilet paper and put it on top of the toilet tank so it can't be fully opened. You have to hold it open the whole time if you're pissing. There's a shelf in there, so this is not at all necessary.
My roommate's girlfriend has been living here, which is fine because she's generally a responsible roommate and also, she brought a toaster oven. And it's a decent toaster oven, but dear god it's poorly designed. The fucker's little tray isn't removable; it only opens up so you can get a rag in there or whatever, but you can't actually brush it into the trash without picking up the whole appliance. Also, she leaves a shit ton of hair in the shower drain lmao, and it clogs up literally every day. If I don't clean it out, my feet get a whole-ass bath.
And one of my other roomies would just casually put shit on top of my cutting board without knowing that that's a faux paux. Like excuse me, what the fuck? Were you raised in a barn? Why would I want the bottom of your dutch oven on the surface where I cut my vegetables?
Also, the one of 'em kinda just decided that the plastic bowls I keep on my shelf are communal. I basically never see both of them at once anymore; sometimes they show up dirty in the sink. I've thought of saying something, but I don't actually know who does it and they cost like a quarter lol. I like to eat snacks out of them and it's nice to have two so that if I eat something soggy, I can let the bowl air dry before eating something else out of it. Maybe I should pick up another one on my way home today.
