My boyfriend said it took him a long time to text me back because he accidentally locked himself out of his own house. Can that really happen?

bowman81 · M
Hell yes. Do you really demand immediate responses to your texts?

Real life actually happens beyond the phone. Things like locking yourself out, or working, or driving, or just being in the middle of a conversation with your neighbor happen.

Ask yourself why you are so upset that you can't wait a few minutes, or hours before he answers you.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Yes, it really can.

It is horribly easy to lock yourself out if you have ordinary locks that close without the key, but need the key to open them.

I've cultivated the habit of holding the key in my hand as I go through the front-door, and have taped an old (totally different) key to the inside handle as a reminder.

Yes. I've seen a friend climb through her window after locking herself out, the lil dumbass lmao

@NickiHijab Talk to Anas, I'm pretty sure he used film Erin and me. D:
NickiHijab · F
@SW-User if you didn't call him anus behind his back I'm disappointed because that's creepy
SW-User
@NickiHijab He was so fucking creepy.
Two years ago or so I was dog-chicken-and-house sitting for my daughter who was out of state. The temp was in the 30s. I went out to feed the chickens and locked her house key, my car keys and my phone in her house.

Oh, it happens.
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
Yes. I did that before and had to climb in the window. Our neighbour thought someone was breaking in and came to catch the thief. 🤣
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic That's a good neighbour! 👏❤️
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull Yes, he was good! But it was embarrassing. 🤣
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic I can imagine! 😊
Notanymore · 36-40, M
Yes.....often!

Wait... do boyfriends have to provide such serious exceptional excuse and with proof just to justify a delay in response to a text? 😬

Obviously I'm never meant to be in a relationship! 😅

I’ve had to climb up the fire escape on multiple occasions because I’ve locked myself out 🥲

But if you’re questioning him, you should probably ask yourself why.
front door has a code to unlock and the generator makes sure there is always power in the house so the garage door opener always works
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Yes I’ve done it a couple times when the door shut too hard.
I mean I stopped doing that after 1st grade
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
Sure, it happens.
Sounds like an excuse.
Houses tend to have a deadbolt front door that requires a key to lock/unlock.

However, being a guy I will support my fellow man and say yes, it happens..
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Majorlatency I have a front door that *will* definitely leave you out if it closes and you don't have the keys. And they're rather common in condos. I wouldn't exclude it's a possibility.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
It can happen but I doubt that it did. He was playing with his other girlfriend and didn't want to interrupt her fun by texting you right away.
Sure it can happen.
But if happens too often every time he is delayed in replying back to you…. you should ask what’s wrong with his 🚪
Ashleyduz · 31-35, F
Absolutely. I have the neighbor’s key because she locks herself out at least once a month
Oh, yes. In the twinkle of an eye. Why would you have a boyfriend you don't believe?
kimberlyJay · 31-35, F
@Mamapolo2016 I just have some trust issues I guess😞
SW-User
No offense, but this doesn't sound like a healthy relationship.
Fluffybull · F
Yes, I've locked myself out in the past 😆
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
If the phone is inside
PhaqueYou · M
Sure........ .....
...............
depends, are you fat, ugly and a prude?
kimberlyJay · 31-35, F
