I will never understand the concept of hiring talented creators and then telling them what to do

Sure, give them an idea of what you want done, of course! But then directing them through the whole process… it just astonishes me! That’s like bringing in Leonardo da Vinci and telling him how to paint, it makes no sense to me. When you bring on someone with great talent, just let them work, ffs! By all means, bring up any complaints you may have about what they do when they’re finished, but otherwise, just 👏 let 👏 them 👏 work! 👏 They’re not idiots, they know what they’re doing. That’s why you hired them in the first place, is it not? So many corporations and such do this and again, it just doesn’t make any sense to me…
