How can you reduce non-essential spending to reach a new goal?

For me, don't go into stores or websites any more often than needed. I will always see things I don't need and often won't ever use.

When you get paid, put what amount you want to save in a separate account, to be used ONLY for your goal or dire necessity.

Being an Indian it is inherited in me. By default I choose the most optimized way.
