Is my friend jealous of my success?

Today I told my friend that I passed my SIA course . He already has his badge bear in mind . But Yh he started sounding jealous or as he is not happy of my success. His like “nah you couldn’t have passed are you sure you even did the right test “ I’m like Yh it was the right one and I’m doing my practical test next week his like “ you will fail that one man that’s really hard that one “ personally I didn’t like sound of that

That doesn’t sound like a friend. Even If you tried to justify that it was tough love it still wouldn’t make sense.

@Reflective Yh it just confuses me because then his like “once you get the security badge i will check if my workplace has vacancies then you can come with me and will go work together “ so I don’t know how to take it with him lol

@Taintedwisdom that does sound confusing. I’d keep him at arms length until he proves that he’s trustworthy. Don’t let him undermine you and don’t get yourself in a position where you owe him.
First, congratulations!

I don't know what an SIA test is, so I looked it up. Found this.

The Sia test was performed in strictly standardized conditions in boiled, bidistilled, deionized water (BBD) and in 0.01 M phosphate buffers pH 5.0 and 7.0. Normal human sera and sera from patients with diffuse hypergammaglobulinemia ( greater than 2.0 g/100 ml), immunoglobulin G (IgG) myeloma (M component greater than 5.0 g/100 ml), and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia were studied. In BBD all normal sera were Sia-negative, whereas 16 per cent of sera with diffuse hypergammaglobulinemia, 60 per cent of sera with IgG M component, and 44 per cent of macroglobulinemic sera with Sia-positive.

I'm impressed.
