I can type at over 140 wpm now.Target achieved.

Tested myself twice today and got 142 wpm and 144 wpm.For a twenty minute test I scored 127 wpm.
My aim was to double my speed and I could type at 70 wpm before I set myself this target.
Finally I wanted to be able to type as fast as we can speak so I got a guy at work to help me test myself. As he was talking I typed out what he said and kept up with him.
Apparently finger length makes no difference to how fast we can type. For me it definitely did make a difference. Having extremely long fingers means I can reach all the keys with pretty much no hand movement.Another method I use is as I have one key pressed on my keyboard I have the next key already half pressed and a finger on the third key needed.As I never need to look at the keyboard I just think or read what I want to type and my fingers just do it.Work colleagues say they struggle to follow my fingers as they move really fast on my keyboard
So yes I'm rather smug about achieving this one.
