I think my big one was wanting to do whatever I felt like.
That and to be able to buy and own certain things.
I do not need a whole lot.

@Musicman Yeah I mean the practical dreams. Aside from having to work like anyone, but I do not have anyone telling me what to do or how I cannot have ice cream and soda for breakfast. 😁
I had others but they were not practical things for anyone really.
You know those dreams kids have about being the next big thing in Hollywood or music or sports?
Pfft of course today's youth probably dream of being the next big thing on tiktok.

Yes. I wanted to finish high school, finish post secondary school, buy a home, have a good job that I like, and be a kind person. I accomplished all of that. What I didn’t accomplish is to own my own three toed sloth

Yes! More of an adolescent dream, but I always envisioned someday living in a cozy retro house, and I was able to accomplish that at 25! I had just begun looking at homes for sale in my area and the perfect one of my dreams came up for sale at the right time! Beautifully maintained, NOT modernized (I really much prefer the dated look and find it very homey), perfect location and size, and great price (also perfect timing, as prices and interest rates were low at the time and raised in the following months). I was definitely incredibly blessed in this and a lot of it just happened to fall in my favor, but it is definitely one of the coolest parts of my adult life (and entire life, actually), and I'm still often in disbelief that this house is actually mine. ❤️ Not one thing I would change about it, and I'm so very thankful to have it!
Otherwise, I did try to return to a beloved sport from my childhood, but it didn't work out for now (it's not a cheap nor widely accessible sport, so not really in the cards for now). Maybe later!

To be honest, I never had dreams of what I wanted to be when I grew up. One day I woke up and found I was in my 70s. This is the way of a lot of folks I reckon.

One of my childhood dreams was to quite literally leave the city I was in and start over, and I have accomplished that!

No. I lost interest in all of them when I got older.

I still dont have a Serval. I could definitely buy one but I need to have a larger house to give it the life it deserves.

Uhm I thought I would be an older person at 30, but still don’t feel like an adult most of the time, sooo no 😂

I wouldn’t have known to dream for happiness from within.
Musicman · 61-69, M
Yes I have. I wanted to travel and I have been able to do it.
elafina · 36-40, F
I'm still dreaming about them
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
No! I'm certain no one would have wanted me to at anytime, either.

I did actually
Despite the blips this is the bestest most rewarding career in my life.
And that’s something I truly felt I needed to accomplish as a kid
Everything else has been a learning curve 🤍
