Do your accomplishments make you feel anything? πŸ‘€

Or is it just another day to you 🀷

This picture has me thinking.

Idk.. my whole life I've felt nothing from any accomplishments. It just seems like nothings enough & there's always so much more left to do. Idk how to be proud of myself.

I never really thought about it deeply but maybe a lot of us feel that way because we never got that encouragement or people being excited for us when we accomplished things. Idk. I think I typically try to be happy for everyone else but I'm never really happy for me

Yup. Same. Acknowledgment should be a given. Being seen. I always want people to know I see them, we all deserve that.

I went through some sick, sad shit and nobody cared. Over and over. Then people tell you you’re ungrateful because joy and sadness run neck and neck all the time … psh.

This is an excellent point. Like we’re all in survival mode and overcompensating to keep balance somehow.

@BrokenAbyss I'm sorry you had to go through anything negative πŸ–€ you seem like an honest & caring person. It sucks that some people can't give you the encouragement you deserve.

I think I always try to congratulate people & be happy for them because you never know if they don't hear it enough. Even when I randomly make eye contact with people I'll usually nod or something to acknowledge their presence. It's all about showing people that you see them, & not just see through them
@ChiefJustWalks YES. I believe in looking people in the eyes. Smiling. I know it makes my day when they smile back. Thank you for being a giving spirit. I know the shit hurts sometimes.

And thank you. I’m cool. Same as you. I heal it within myself by extending it to others. Just makes sense.

@BrokenAbyss yeah it definitely feels nice when a stranger returns the same gesture πŸ‘Œ some people kinda carry on & don't acknowledge anything but I know everyone's different. Some people are shy or uncomfortable with strangers so I don't take offense if someone doesn't smile back or whatever. I'll still respect everyone the same regardless.

Helping others does seem to be helpful to ourselves, but hey take care of yourself too 😌
