Do your accomplishments make you feel anything? 👀

Or is it just another day to you 🤷

This picture has me thinking.

Idk.. my whole life I've felt nothing from any accomplishments. It just seems like nothings enough & there's always so much more left to do. Idk how to be proud of myself.

I never really thought about it deeply but maybe a lot of us feel that way because we never got that encouragement or people being excited for us when we accomplished things. Idk. I think I typically try to be happy for everyone else but I'm never really happy for me

Bing-fucking-o!!!!!
Validation baby.
Never had one once of it growing up.
Actually never got any from either of my parents up until they died.
My life started to feel like i was doing good stuff when I had kids.
I live for the kids. The only people who really love me for being me.
Now I can start to feel like i matter.

@Dainbramadge I'm glad you got your kids man 🙏 definitely a good thing to give you something to live for. I've always wanted kids for that same reason but I also had to realize that I can't have a kid for the sole reason of saving my own life. Or giving me a purpose. I'm hoping I could find my own purpose & define my life before I get to that point.
But you always mattered man. Even before the kids. I'm just glad you finally got to feel that way

@ChiefJustWalks Your the man Chief.
Thanks for that. :-)
To be honest I never really realized how fucked my life was before i had the kids.
All these things I wanted to do for them started to show me it was all the things I needed growing up and could never get.
You're going to make a great dad brother.
You will know when the time is right.
@Dainbramadge right on. My boy teaches me so much. I make sure he knows too. Thanks for being a rad dad

@Dainbramadge I feel like a lot of people with troubled pasts or troubled childhoods, when they have a lot of lot in their hearts still that never got to get expressed, having their kids is the perfect chance to give that all to someone & bless them with the things you wish you had. I imagine that love makes you love them more than you love yourself, therefore you want them to have everything better than yourself.

Idk what my purpose is but I imagine once I have kids, that'll be it. Maybe all the struggle will feel worth it finally. Thanks man

@BrokenAbyss The best part about kids is when they love you it can't help but pour out of them.
It's so pure.
Thank you for that. :-)

@ChiefJustWalks Well brother that is exactly how I see it.
All the BS and hell I lived for so many years was so I would not be anything like that for my kids.
I was shown what is important in life by not having it.
I learned from my lesson and am making my kids feel what love is supposed to feel like.
Hey man. You wanna know the best part about doing the right thing? When they smile when they see you. When they want to do things with you. When they, this really happened, they want top do their homework assignment about you.
Ok I will stop now. Even I can see I'm gushing now. LOL
