Edwin's blank look meant only distrust. Of course he was looking after a friend, but that was not the full meaning of that visit; This man had something he had been looking for for a long time. That man, the redhead, managed to slip away very easily between the halls and crowds, as if he were not "of this reality." Edwin knew, in part, of that guy's connection to several of the murders, had an idea of his general location, and yet always managed to wriggle out of his guts; something weird was happening and he wanted to know what.

—You know that for me, it's not just about catching him. —Edwin wanted to see his reaction, investigating her through her pupils.. —You know that boy is not normal. —At least, now, I make his intentions clearer.
Nüying was silent for a few seconds. No, she didn't like that job and it didn't make her happy to lose valuable customers who kept bills paid and food in her mouth. But what could she do? She was nothing more than a human with no power at all, would she be able to beat someone like the redhead? They didn't even possess the same sense of cruelty. She would be an easy prey, the only thing that kept her alive was that shit about fate and the distorted love he had for her.

I don't know who or what hurts my clients she repeated, playing dumb. But I know you'll do your best to catch that. Whatever it is. So... I'm calm.
The girl's eyes spoke words that, in turn, she did not want to say. Edwin's face kept his gaze on the woman until he gave up completely, knowing very well that Nüying would not say anything. He sighed, before his next word.

—Then why don't you do anything? —He closed his eyes, left his words in the air. —Are you really going to stand still while the wolf eats your prey?
She had been under the crosshairs of interrogations before, so she knew well that Edwin distrusted her... And rightly so. Nüying was aware of the atrocities the redhead had committed, but she couldn't control it, she had already tried and failed in the process. Would it be easier to give him away and deliver it? Of course. But she didn't know if that would even be possible; the redhead was smart and elusive. She wouldn't put herself at risk by being a snitch.

He was my client once. He looked for me... Long ago. He hasn't come back, ask outsiders, no one has seen him.
He watched over her eyes, in depth analysis. He extended towards her, then, various photographs of people, famous clients of hers, who had appeared with their throats cut in the morning. —Isn't it a waste for you to lose so many customers in so few days?— He sat next to her, deepening their closeness now. —All I know is her "pretty red hair." Are you 100% sure you haven't seen him?
I haven't seen anyone these days she lied shamelessly. Why was she protecting someone like him? Even she didn't know the reason. She had only in mind the red-haired tangle and the sweet and vague promises he made to her back then. I'm sorry I can't contribute more to your search.
—Mmh... There's a reaper in town, Nüying, I'm sure you've heard; and this one in particular found my interest. I was looking to see if you've met eyes with him tonight.
I don't believe in fate. However, you didn't answer my question: What are you doing here?
—Do you really think I would inform anyone of my arrival? I'm just an outsider, passing through another one's room. Maybe it has something to do about "destiny".
Not at all... But I prefer not to drown my sorrows with third parties. What are you doing here? I don't remember being informed about your arrival today.
