@PatientlyWaiting25 It was pigeons snaffling the food where I first hung my bird feeder. Then I moved it to under an a Ceeanotis bush - easy for small birds like sparrows (the main ones in my garden) but not large ones. The pigeons go for the seed that falls on the ground underneath, and I don't mind that.
