About Me About Me NotesAbout Me
I get a feel for you as we talk over time and if you lend me insights into your life, I appreciate it.
I show interest in the details you provide. I do not remember everything, but many things you have said. I keep you in mind. I misunderstand, miss subtleties, but I do want to understand if you'll help me.
Often my questions are of trivial things. I take an interest in your day, in your well being.
I can be patient with you, accepting what you offer me.
I tell you something amusing or I show you my foolish heart.
Or it's both of these.
I have been honing my art for decades. My writes have a lot of different feelings usually.
Feeling small, feeling tall, it's funny how it doesn't really change you at all. Everywhere you go, there you are.
Something I always find fascinating is how people interpret me and also themselves through the lens of my works.
People experience the world through their unique lens, projecting themselves into everything. It is in this way that everything is a rohrschach test. For me too of course.
In Buddhism it is said that awareness is the universe experiencing itself. A fine and broad interpretation, when you consider our nebulous concept of existence extends only into the three dimensions we experience and our power of imagination that reaches beyond these confines only so far. Sometimes, I can't see what's right in front of me or practically spelled out. Ignorant, obtuse, don't have the courage to face the noose.
I don't know you, but hope I am nice to you instead of cruel. There's good things about me. I'm gentle and caring and with some people I have a nice sense of humor. I can be insightful, even though not always about myself or people I care about.
Respectfully,
Daniel
“I began to draw an invisible boundary between myself and other people. No matter who I was dealing with, I maintained a set distance, carefully monitoring the person’s attitude so that they wouldn’t get any closer. I didn’t easily swallow what other people told me. My only passions were books and music. ” Haruki Murakami
