i blame republicans/conservatives for setting the standard. for example, they used the impeachment process against bill clinton for no valid reason except political purposes. that made it necessary to use the same tactics, because there was no longer any pretense that courts are arbiters of justice. courts, police, all fed agencies can be employed for political purposes and there is no accountability, repercussions, consequences nor punishments. the people of the USA are no longer united anyway, so why respect them in the first place?
