Just arrived in Agrigento from Tivat, private airplane, for the funeral tomorrow of my ex boyfriend's uncle Francesco, Frankie, who I got on famously with when I was living here with my sister after some trouble at home, where Vladana and I learnt Italian and kind of perfected our English. Our teacher was Anglo-Sicilian from an old family who had lived in North London. Francesco was always a dear man, he would do anything for you! I'm sorry he is dead, and when I told Vladana she helped me convince Dad we had to come here!
