I Am a Diabetic On An Insulin Pump

I have no idea if there are others who are kept alive on an insulin pump. It's great to be alive but I have to check my blood glucose level constantly. And calculate all the carbs I eat. And often I go hypo which aint nice. And sometimes I get fed up. And then I feel guilty because I'm alive and enjoying life.

My brother was one of the first 2 kids to get an insulin pump when they first hit the market. He's had many problems with it over the years but it has definitely changed his life. What you have now is decades of improvements and innovations built on many generations of pumps. Enjoy it and live your life to the fullest :)

@slobound No. I don't live in a rich country. The health service does the best it can do.

@Lucia Thank you Lucia. And I do enjoy life but being disabled is so frustrating!

@BlodynHafJones Life is only worth living when you get good times out of life too!

@Lucia And I agree. And my life is good. It's just frustrated by my body not being normal!
I get hypos. I just had one. It was bad. I nearly died. It’s like that all the time. It’s ok now.
