Why are flat-faced dogs susceptible to health issues

I think it’s down to bad breeding, greed, In demand, people see it as a money maker.

I have two pugs and they don’t have any issues with breathing.

@Fairydust It's not even bad breeding. Minor breathing issues are considered normal for the breed. It's the skull shape itself that's the root cause. If minor breathing issues are normal, you're going to have a sizable segment with major breathing issues - and one without any at all. But it's still not a particularly healthy state of things.
