@samueltyler2 Traditionally I would always just do pure black ink. In the last few years I've been using color. It started around 2011 when I did a lot of murals and spray painting. Then got into mixed media. In this one there is felt tip ink, India ink, soft pastels, oil pastels, acrylic paint, watercolor paint in various layers. I'm still trying to decide how to do the background. Also how to pull certain colors in the image to the forefront.
@samueltyler2 this is a practice piece for another illustration I'm making for a friend of mine. I'm probably going to burn it.

Update.
I usually burn my practice work though. Not because I think badly of them, but it's a sort of ritual I've done since I was a kid.
If you want it though. You can have it.
