I'm headed to one today. They used to be my favorite of special occasions until I had my daughter and didn't get one. Every time I go to one now, it reminds me of how much everyone else is loved and adored and I am not. I do make the effort to buy or make something even if I don't go because I know how far that support can go. Well, I hope I have fun and the gift is appreciated. This is what I made this time.
That's the cutest thing EVER! Love that people can still craft and make things instead of the big box store items. I get your perspective. My wife and I had 3 miscarriages after our first and everyone around us was having babies. It was hard for us to be happy at times for them due to what we were dealing with. Looking back, I'm less that way and I love little ones, but am happy to be beyond that stage of life.
