What do you consider as happiness?

“What the world values is money, reputation, achievement, sensory satisfaction. What it considers misfortune is having limited means to partake in what it values. When people feel deprived, they become anxious or depressed. But in fact, it is the very concern for achieving and enjoyment that makes them unhappy.

Now, I cannot tell if what the world considers "happiness" is happiness or not. But I do see that those who go about chasing it get carried away headlong, often grim and obsessed. I am of the opinion that you never find happiness until you stop looking for it. My greatest happiness consists precisely in doing nothing whatsoever that is calculated to obtain it. I hold to the saying, ‘Perfect Joy is to be without joy. Perfect praise is to be without praise.’ ”
