I'm 18 and I'm afraid to drive. I don't have my license and it drives my parents a little nuts sometimes.

You don't have to drive. I know a sucessful woman who went to college, graduated, got married THEN learned to drive after she had kids.

It really only takes about twenty minutes of practice to get a sense of the physics of cars, and it's all just ironing out the details after that. Practicing in a barren parking lot would be the best place to start.
Once you drive on the roads, I would recommend driving mainly at night until you feel comfortable with it, as there are far less other humans around to get in your way and try to damage themselves or their property with your car.

I didn't drive until I was 18, and I'm 30 now and still not overly comfortable with it haha.

Start out on back roads and side streets. Gradually build up your confidence.
