Respect The Flag [I Want To Write My Random Thoughts And Feelings]

As an American, whenever I need to select a language in a video game, program or website, I demand and expect to see the AMERICAN flag representing the English language.

Seeing the flag of the United Kingdom instead of the Beautiful Old Glory in Red White and Blue... It offends me nearly to tears.

If it weren't for America, the English speaking countries would be speaking Japanese or German.

Trump should do something about this, instead of focusing this fake news, overblown coronavirus nonsense.

You do know that the English language didnt originate in the US right? Also, the English language in the US was from the British who colonised the US. 😅

@MissMoon America saved the asses of the British during WWII, and additionally perfected the English language.

By any estimation, this means that the US pretty much owns the rights to the English language.

Therefore, in any language selection, English should be represented by an American flag.

@GeistInTheMachine Big oof 😂 As someone who has half my family from Britain and the other from the US, I have to say that this is not "iron logic."

Without the Brits, the US wouldnt have the English language. Also if you look back far enough in your family tree, you might *gasp* be British, of other European origins or something else...unless you are 100% native American.

Also, when I play games or go on apps and see either the US or British flag represent the English language (normally I see both because it's two different forms of English) I dont really care. Both are English, I can understand both. I don't need to get upset and cry over something like this when there are much more important issues out there.
