Inventorium - Diabolus Vampiria Dimples [I Want To Write My Random Thoughts And Feelings]
Gotta keep busy busy busy, never resting, always chug chug chugging along, even when sleeping one is busy. Here i will map out obliquely the general scope of the awake busyness, this has all to do with escapism, and mostly to do with what i enjoy on the digital versatile disc.
1. Cops and Detectives - 5 shows one at a time, projected to be completed at the beginning of 2022, sprinkles of the 70's mostly everyday, or some days more than others.
2. re-watches of normal and extraordinary films, embedded in this category is wanting to do a grande overview chronologically
3. new stuff, a bit per month, next time i don't know yet, i let things simmer in the mind, i come to temporary decisions all the time, but we'll or i'll see, i do have a burning desire for more Criterion, their catalogue is amazing, from the extremely artsy to the mainstream classics, choices, so many choices
4. finishing off some shows, a hodge podge of stuff, X Files, Buffy, Alfred Hitchcock, Twilight Zone, later on a bevy of oldies from I Love Lucy (50's) to Better Caul Saul.
5. Binging certain shows - Bates Motel for example will need 4th and 5th seasons it is one of the best i know of that makes you want to keep watching the story unfold, and Hannibal, Deadwood, Carnivale, Rome, and 2021 i think will be the time where i will try to concentrate on gulping down 2 time consuming shows Dark Shadows and Supernatural. Also sprinkling some classic Dr Who in there
6. Specialty thematical excursions - focusing on certain directors, currently i want to be more familiar with the film work of Hitchcock, this will eventually include getting some Criterions of for example The Lady Vanishes, and a copy of North by Northwest, after this, or along with it another director or more than just one, if i end up getting von Sternberg and Tati next time, those will be 2 enriching auteurs to delight the senses with. AND for October - nothing too spectacular, but a spooky movie per day, 31 goodies, i kind of get carried away with horror and by the time October rolls by i am in the mood for other things .... not to keen on Christmas movies et, yes, the director focusing will be good, will start with the ones i'm not too familiar with and over time will generate enough need for what is now familiar, like Fassbinder, Pasolini, Fellini, Godard, Jarman, Bergman, Antonioni etc, then it will be like a re-birth, before that i would kneel before the likes of Capra, Powell and Pressberger, Lean, Kubrick, Hawks, DW Griffith, von Stroheim, and on and on.
7. music, that shall for the most part be when i post and reply alot here
8. books, the way i read and the books i like, it is like music, and can be combined with interactivity
9. cleaning up - getting lost in toil, when you do as much time wasting as i do, doing something productive once in a while is surprisingly refreshing!
