I Respect The People Who Deserve To Be Respected

I think the opinions of the 13-15 age group are as valid as those of any other group. Many of the posts made by the youngest members here are amongst the most interesting that I have read. They are also frequently amongst the most mature, albeit often with a certain intellectual naivety, which I tend to find refreshing.
The replies they get are usually dismissive and disrespectful, I would have expected that those who have greater life experience would be more supportive. The accumulated knowledge of those of us who have lived longer may be greater but IQ tends to be much higher when we are younger.
If a person is wrong, educate them don't belittle them. That should apply go anyone regardless of their age.

@Fernie there are a lot of reasons to make a site such as this adult only, however at the moment anyone over the of 12 can join. We must deal with things as they are, not as we would wish them to be.

No...if that were the case we should just let trump kill us all and keep our mouths shut....society is geared to kids these days as it is...I'd like to be somewhere online without having to deal with little kids...that is not at all unreasonable or negative

I am not saying we should not try to improve things, merely that we must start from where they are now. There are very many adult only forums, but far fewer open forums and I agree it is neither negative nor unreasonable to use them. Personally I enjoy one which more closely models society as a whole, I do however understand your viewpoint and appreciate your input.

I don't believe I am preaching, I am merely doing you the courtesy of replying to your posts. I completely agree that you and every other member of the site are entitled to their opinions, that indeed was one of the main thrusts of the original post. The fact that you do not want to deal with children does not bother me in the slightest, the thing that does bother me are those people who target any particular group and bully them. Let me be completely clear though, I am not saying that you are one of those people.
