I wonder if my ex had found somebody else whether she would have been just as vindictive, I think the answer is yes since she would leave my daughters with anybody before calling me. I think in your case your ex transferring his affection to somebody else so quickly will be a blessing.

Yes true it is probably a good thing. Hard on my kids but, easier on me.
We don't speak often so that makes it easier

Now it is up to you. How are you going to use this opportunity to make your life what you want it to be. If you do make your life better than it ever has been then you won't hate him anymore. You probably won't even give him much thought. If you don't make things better for yourself you will always hate him.
