Smiling. Nice to know such places still exist. I had never heard of Sable Island. My family had a wild pony from Assateague Island,Maryland/Virginia. (The island is 37 miles long and the northern 2/3 is Maryland, the lower third Virginia).
@faith2hope4love Seems they are actually common, some in national parks even. Much for the same reasons as the Sable Island.
Do you/have you, ridden horseback? You should try it, given your passion and interest. Theres even places where you can volunteer your time to care and work with them.
@SethGreene531 I was surprised to learn they also roam free in areas of Alberta, Sask, and BC. Such beautiful animals deserve the right to be protected and cared for. Hoping to find some way that I can help. No, I have not ridden horseback yet but would love to have the opportunity. Thank you for your suggestions and comments!!🤗
@faith2hope4love You're welcome. Was always a fan. He's Canadian? Wow, I had no idea. So much of our talent originates there, must be something in the water!
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP I know, it is sad that they live in such a wild and untamed environment. Somehow they have managed to survive all these years...herd is about 500.
