I Battle Depression and Anxiety

I'm 22 years old and I've been having moderate to severe anxiety for a few years now. One of my absolute worst fears is getting blind by the time I'm 45 years old. Maybe this stems from the fact that I'm highly myopic already, with -4.25 in the right eye and -2.75 in the left eye, and this was an year ago. I see completely fine with obstacles. But I'm a computer science undergraduate, so I've to spend a lot of time in front of computer screen, and I'm pretty addicted to my phone too. All this anxiety is making me overwhelmingly sad, and I'm questioning the point of getting out of bed every morning if I'm going to be blind 20 years from now anyway. Thank you for reading :|

As a computer science undergraduate you should process your thinking on this matter through a logical analysis. Logic is very useful in life. More logic is vital. Having examined your situation you will conclude that you have no idea what the state of your vision will be in 20 years time or the state of medical science. I had laser eye surgery which did not exist when Iw as your age for example. I now have A1 vision.
Further it is illogical to not live fully now out of fear you will not be able to see in future.
I appreciate that emotions are hard to direct but logic is a reliable framework to try.

@sogdianrock Thank you. But as you said, emotions are hard to direct. I don't know how to stop this nagging fear from overwhelming me :(

You appear to need assistance in this matter which you have no training in. See an appropriate therapist. I se no reason why you cannot succeed in managing your emotions with help.
Best wishes
:)
