I lost everything and the emergency services left us for dead.

The stupid fire started up again this morning while we were asleep, no fire trucks or anything showed up, the sheriff didn't even freaking come over tell us to evacuate.

We'd be dead if my brother didn't wake me up. My kittens are dead, all my things are gone except my Pc and switch. Even my phone and wallet. I hate this

Oh my gosh!!! We are all so grateful that you are alive!!! I know you don't want to hear this right now, but you are breathing and you did not die a horrible death. You need absolutely everything, so you should try to contact the Red Cross for help. Then you can think about a lawsuit for not being notified by the sheriff. They should have sirens in your area for emergencies...but they probably burned up...along with all the telephone poles.

@TeirdalinFirefall I have been worrying about you, and prayed for you. I hope your brother, who warned you and saved your life, is able to pick you up and provide you with shelter so you can make calls and figure out how to go on.

@4meAndyou Out auntie is letting us stay at her place, I setup the couch like a bed and we got a bunch of free clothes and food and stuff from the church near here. And my sister made us a gofundme and family and friend have been chipping in and stuff. It's horrible but at least we got a family.

@TeirdalinFirefall Thank God for that. At least you are alive. So many are not. Remember to contact the American Red Cross also to find out if you are eligible for free temporary housing. Sometimes they will do that.

@TeirdalinFirefall If you can, find out if they have a toll free number, call and ask what is happening to the online forms you send, and explain that the website has not updated.
