I Take Relationships Seriously
When I'm in a relationship with someone and I know I really like the person, I make an effort. My first girlfriend was the best relationship I have ever had with someone. I went steady with her nearly 4 years.
I have taken advice out from movies and TV shows. Fatherly advice that was aimed at another character, I took it on board "Whenever you do find yourself a good woman, hold on to her for as long as you can, and don't let go". I did just that, my first girlfriend was the best, she was my very cute Scottish princess. She was actually American, born in the USA, but grew up in Scotland. Blonde hair, blue eyes. And she was lovely. Made me cookies and everything. I had said to her that I enjoyed opening up her baked goods. We also had her own little language too. I would have called her "Babycakes", mainly because she was my baby and that she made me cakes. Haha.
I stayed over in her house, I would have gotten on with her Mother very well, I made sure of it. Get on with the parents, and you are set. Get on with the parents and you are in there. Her mother taught me how to make Porridge, a skill that I use still. I would have sometimes helped out in the preparation for the dinner, set the table and that. There was even a time where I cooked my girlfriend a breakfast when her parents were out. The relationship with her friends though, I did try. Though it may have been me, I'm not sure, I did have a certain rough attitude at times, my humour the same, but now I have mellowed. But still, I loved her a lot and I enjoyed every single time we spent together, whether it was walking about with her in her village or us eating out in The Meat House in Dundee. Or seeing a film at the DCA Cinema. And even though she went off with someone else in the end up, all I remember is the good times, because most of the times were good times. I was good to her and she was good to me and that is what matters. My 1st girlfriend, I will say, is my very favourite relationship, out of the two that I had, 1st one, is hard to top.
I'm glad that I can say that the 1st relationship I was in, was the first relationship that I was ever in, to say, that is how a relationship is meant to look like and feel. It was very healthy.
