I Can Fly In My Dreams
A recurring motif of my dreams is that I can fly.
Well, "flying" might be too grand a term. It's more floating. Levitation. I can move, but rarely faster than walking. It's really more like swimming through the air.
It used to be that I had to strain and work, as if I were trying to take off by sheer willpower alone, but then could only manage this pathetic floating a few centimeters off the ground. Then, later, I'd be able to swim over people's heads, which was convenient for dealing with crowds.
I often have crowds in my dreams, often back in school, or the army. However, no one ever seems to notice that I'm flying, or rather floating, even if I'm right over their heads.
