I Know Loss

Life goes on with or without you! No matter how or what u decide to do with ur life...time marches on! And...yes! It's up to us to steer ourselves towards growth, strength, courage and compassion towards ourselves and others. That said...the pain of grief comes over some of us like a blackish cloud that surrounds us taking our breathe away! I am now in that cloud!!! I just realized that it's coming up on my moms b-day & 1 yr anniversary of her death!!! Good thing drinking alcohol is NOT an option or suicide is NOT in my vocabulary... Facing this dark cloud has been the hardest thing since forgiving my abusive and tormenting father! I'm hoping that this experience will only make me stronger! Why? It beats the hell out of being 6 feet under! I miss her voice and hilarious outlook on life! Plz share with me if u know what I'm going thru and /or can give me any words of encouragement? You are all my adopted family of intelligent, thought provoking and ( sometimes) quirky/ funny minds!!! Thx very much for any suggestions u may have!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Plz be safe!
Sincerely,
Shewolfiie69/ Lucretzia 😔

Anniversaries can be so tough to get through, as you are finding out. My mom died seven years ago and her birthday is coming up soon. She had a tough life and I picked up some life lessons from her. One is that we keep on keeping on, through hardships, bad times & deaths. The old "one food in front of the other" deal sounds cliched until you need to do it and then you see the wisdom.

One thing I suggest you remember is that you were once part of your mother and therefor she is still part of you, she lives on through you. When you enjoy a beautiful sunrise or sunset or laugh at something she used to laugh at, she lives on. While it is said that living well is the best revenge, it is also the best memorial. A mom worthy of the title wants the best for her child and yours wants you to carry on for her. Try to see the beauty in life, try to find what happiness you can, for her. Do your good works with the elderly & the animals you help and know that your work is valuable and beautiful. You have great a passion for those, your inner beauty matching your outer. Hopefully they will lend consolation to you in your hour of need.
