I Have Seasonal Affective Disorder
I have noticed the last number years I found myself dreading the thoughts of Fall/Winter, as it approached.
Living in Canada means much shorter daylight hours in the winter and cold snowy weather..less sunny days for sure.
I discovered upon doing some research the I have S.A.D....thankfully my symptoms are fairly mild, so I am still able to function relatively normally.
I purchased a therapy lamp two years ago. I start using it as soon as I feel a change in my energy level and mood...November thru to March. Plus I take Vitamin D as well.
I have noticed a vast improvement the last two winters using the light therapy lamp. My energy level has increased, much more positive and my sleep patterns revert back to normal. I have the lamp on my desk at the office and use it periodically throughout the day and on the weekends when I am at home.
Start my day sitting in "sunlight" drinking a nice cup of java...very nice!!!😄☕
I am definitely a sunshine girl who is counting down the days until Spring!! Lol 🌞
