I Am Aware Of Politics And Keep Up With What Is Going On

Can someone tell me what she just said....

"My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I'm glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know. the remnants of prior situations and mind-sets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture, and we didn't do that, and I'm proud of that. Very proud. I would say that's A major accomplishment."

- Hillary Clinton 11 March 2014

And she wants to be president of the United States

Thanks for the post. It is depressing, but not surprising at all.
Sad. Shit, I think I'm sinking into a bad mood. Well, better anger than lethargy.
Thanks again, Ms. Loveto...

Like I said above, this is bullshit and has been discredited.
A five second search proves that.
Guess my question is why people don't take the time to learn if something is true and, instead, just accept whatever they're fed? Doesn't make any sense to me.

i make the assumption a person is speaking truth until proved otherwise in essence i trust people i won't spend my life in a quasi-parranoid state but, i will surely change my mind with more, contrary, info @Ynotisay:

@Sacron22: Well, that's your call. Maybe because of my work, which revolves around the media, I'm hardwired to always consider the source of what I read or see.
But here's a little something contrary if you're interested.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I do think you're more attuned than I since you're with the 'media.' Trustworthy sources are more difficult to find than just ten year ago. my concern is that folks seek confirmation of their own beliefs, not neutral sources or analysis. I'm of the NYTimes and Wash Post bent, btw, but that doesn't give me any confidence in Mrs Clinton@Ynotisay:

@Sacron22: You hit on what I think is the biggest reason, by FAR, for the polarization in the country. The internet allows people to live in an echo chamber. It's not about drilling down to the truth. It's about affirmation of beliefs. From where I'm standing that's very, very dangerous. When false premises are argued as fact the truth becomes secondary.
Good call on the NYT and WaPo. They work pretty hard with their editorials to get it right. The AP is another.
