I Am Aware Of Politics And Keep Up With What Is Going On

[big]Can someone tell me what she just said....[/big]
"My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I'm glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know. the remnants of prior situations and mind-sets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture, and we didn't do that, and I'm proud of that. Very proud. I would say that's A major accomplishment."

Lol, I'm pretty sure that's not an actual quote, but it is funny and is what she sounds like half the time. 😁

Thanks for the post. It is depressing, but not surprising at all.
Sad. Shit, I think I'm sinking into a bad mood. Well, better anger than lethargy.
Thanks again, Ms. Loveto...

@Sacron22: Well, that's your call. Maybe because of my work, which revolves around the media, I'm hardwired to always consider the source of what I read or see.
But here's a little something contrary if you're interested.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I do think you're more attuned than I since you're with the 'media.' Trustworthy sources are more difficult to find than just ten year ago. my concern is that folks seek confirmation of their own beliefs, not neutral sources or analysis. I'm of the NYTimes and Wash Post bent, btw, but that doesn't give me any confidence in Mrs Clinton@Ynotisay:

@Sacron22: You hit on what I think is the biggest reason, by FAR, for the polarization in the country. The internet allows people to live in an echo chamber. It's not about drilling down to the truth. It's about affirmation of beliefs. From where I'm standing that's very, very dangerous. When false premises are argued as fact the truth becomes secondary.
Good call on the NYT and WaPo. They work pretty hard with their editorials to get it right. The AP is another.

Here's what you can do that might help.
You can run a few lines of what you shared in a Google search. That's a good way to determine if something is true or false. It's called considering the source.
What you'll see with this one is that it's total bullshit. More nonsense fed to those who prefer, and willingly choose, belief over fact.
Your call about what kind of person you are.
