mrpauldavies I am in your age group and was lucky to never ever get the cane at junior or senior school I saw it used a few times at senior school mostly on the backside but one teacher use to cane on the hand and I saw the recipient on a few occasions to wind up the male teacher by drawing there hand away really they never did themselves any favours as it made the teacher more determined he was going to dish out this punishment

I was caned at school and home too.
