If you listen to it now it seems like he deliberately made that album to be his own eulogy, especially the lyrics. Check out the video to Lazarus too.

I totally agree with that. I think he put all of his energy into creating this legacy. It was released Friday and he died Sunday. It is obvious to me it was part of his fight against cancer.
