I don't really want to believe it. I'm the sort of person who could find a silver lining in a mushroom cloud, and I just don't seem able to today. Shock, I suppose, although I never so much as met him once. All I ever did was listen. From being a little boy, that cool waft of genius from him has always been in my life. Until now.

It is a shame when those creative geniuses leave us. I look at the music industry now, and while we have these shows that seem to provide an opportunity for musicians - I see so many fads and so little creativity. Where are the artists?

I completely agree. Truly great talents don't really exist much anymore.

I totally agree with that. I think he put all of his energy into creating this legacy. It was released Friday and he died Sunday. It is obvious to me it was part of his fight against cancer.
