Non stop or breaks in between?
SAAB71 · 51-55, M

@SAAB71 I can run for 30 minutes but I do run alternate days.

Any advice for me?
SAAB71 · 51-55, M
Sure! Make sure you include some flattlek (nothing related to farting), which means you will be alternating fast and comfortable running. For instance, you can start with 1 minute at full throttle and 3 minutes running comfortable, doing so from 7 to 16 reps. Make sure you stretch mainly after the run. Interval training as well as slopes/ hill training build up endurance and power. @TheOrionbeltseeker

Also, make sure you do some strengthening for you knees and core. This will give you essential support during your running sessions. @TheOrionbeltseeker

@SAAB71 Thank you and should our meal be same or do I need to increase my diet if I run for say half an hour 4 days a week?

Changing your eating habits will always be beneficial. I quit eating meat 4 years ago and sugar some 6 months ago and now I feel much more comfortable running than when I was in my 20’s. It’s no fantastic feat, but I finished my last half marathon in 1h47’ and I’m 48. @TheOrionbeltseeker

I usually have some peanut paste with one or two mashed bananas before I go for a run.
If you’re running in the morning before work, make sure your dinner on the previous night is not too late. If you need to have a late dinner, have a salad, fruit or some soup.
