But it is. My life has absolutely no point. I'm not contributing to this world in any way, I'm just making it more crowded. Meh.

You're cautious, and that is a great insurance policy. Take it from one who originally was very imprudent. I've learned to explore, listen a great deal to others before jumping in with both feet, and then, when the moment is right, make the right move. As you go along, your life will take on a great deal of meaning, much as you hope to. Cheers to you!
