My preference is long for sure, it's much more feminine. Contrary to what some say, most short hair on older women makes them look older imo.

They look better with whatever suits them. 50 is not very old these days. Most in their 50s look fabulous.

Long hair is great but personality goes along way too

I used to love my hair long when i was a teenager. But as I grew older I preffered short hair. It's more pratical and the hair dye doesn't cost so much !

A big part of your answer is how the hair long or short profiles the face and flows with the body. I normally like woman with long hair no matter the age. However sometimes, like this red head I saw the other day, short, feathered/layered down to about 2 inches above her shoulders, It was cute, it looked very pretty on her.

I do think long hair makes women look younger.

Depends on the woman, really. There are no set rules to hair lengths with age. One can wear any length with confidence.

It really is a person to person thing. I love short hair on platinum blondes, but outside of that prefer longer.
