I agree with many of your points but not the initial statement. We trace our ancestry to his son called Yahuda in arabic. Ultimately Arabs and Jews are ethnically related true but claiming it never was a country is a moot point, there were no countries at the time in the modern sense. Our concept of palestine today isn't what existed back then. I think if I remember correctly Moses the prophet, a decedent of Yahudda was the one who's the promised land belief attributed to. It's true that Israel committed war crimes and illegally colonized/ing a country besides other atrocities. I am in full support of Palestinian right to self-determination and freedom..However Hamas being in the picture needs to end, they have crimes of their own. And their monopoly over power in Gaza+ them being in charge of resources keeps the conflict going and interferes with a democratic process. They need to step away and let the people decide. As long as they are in charge, Israel will remain able to establish illegal settlements, no positive progress will ever be made.

I can't even see most of the comments here so I can gauge what most of them are saying.
I can't help but think of a palestinian family I met at an event. The husband was now a psychologist by the help of a woman who helped him escape and now he helps fund mental health resources for refugees like himself, he also has an organisation that helps palestinian farmers. I got to talk to him about this and more and at that point he was even generous enough to advise me on how to go forward in my career because I was working on my psychology and counselling degree. He was incredible. I follow his organisation on Facebook so I could track future events and followed his personal account. Just a month ago he uploaded a video of him visiting palestine again and getting to see his mother after 12 years, It was heartbreaking.
I'm tired of clashing heads with people who simply reduce all this suffering because of religion and would prefer to be more proactive about it. That's not to say talking and raising awareness about it isn't necessary, it most definitely is and I'm glad people are talking about it. Sometimes it's disheartening though and insulting to families like them.

Because olicharchy wins elections and strong hyrarchies have a higher chance of taking facing issues. No militairy force has gotten great successes without hierarchy and every anarchistic party that didn't organise themselves in an olicharchical way has ever won elections. Because anarchists, from left to right just suck at organising because they don't believe in it and thus they don't advance in power and can't keep a society together on big scale for a long periode of time. Or you can pretty much read annything written on the subject of elitism in the beginning of the 20th century, since it was a hot toppic from left to right. There is a reason why Lennin reinvented a democratic concept like socialism to a vanguard elitist parties. Ancient Israel was in a physical location round about where it is today. Isrealis were pushed off of their lands by Greeks, Arabs,Egyptians, Persians and others at various times in history so its not a straightforward case of one bad country hating a good nice country. @Human1000 yes and no. Israel refuses to recognise the Armenian Genocide and actively funds Turkey and Azerbaijan. I'm not saying there aren't Jewish people who support Armenians, but the state of Israel does not.
@basilfawlty89 And Israel is wrong for doing so despite the "tricky" political situation it would put them in. I would want to see a poll on Jewish opinion about this. The US only recognized the Armenian genocide this year.
@Human1000 I would like to as well, seeing as the Armenian Genocide was the blueprint for the Holocaust. A Turkish doctor gassed Armenian children and Nazis used it as a prototype to gas killing Jewish people.
Again, this is not against the Jewish people. Many Jewish people recognise the Armenian Genocide, but Israel doesn't and should. There are also righteous among nations like Missak Manouchian who defended Jewish people from Nazi genocide.

@Moon3624 ...whatever or whoever believes there is a God, it still doesn't negate my argument does it ... if this 'God' was all powerful, all he had to do was eliminate the Canaanites from the 'Promised Land' rather than the Jews take it by conquest, if Jews want to believe "God gave us this Land" let them believe it.
