I Have Ibs

So I have IBS, I have had it for quite some time but I wasn't diagnosed, I've actually been diagnosed quite recently. It started off with really bad gas, I've always struggled with it and suffered pain due to trapped wind. I've always suffered stomach cramps For no apparent reasons which have now been explained. It started when my mother was told she had it and then she started wondering if I could have it because before this we didn't really know what IBS is.

It's quite a struggle to have IBS because it is different for every person, and it doesn't impact me at every single minute of the day, I can have flare ups or relapses (where it doesn't bother me at all) and then it can hit hard at any moment. There is no cure for IBS so I have to deal with and I have to fight it so it won't control my life

IBS is usually food allergies.
Wheat is usually a culprit.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: I'm not sure that has been proven? Many people change their diet and it helps and some people do exclusion diets which may or may not help. You can be intolerant and allergic to wheat but they are different even if similar symptoms.

@amethyst1: I said usually. But a lot of people say their IBS symptoms ease up when they cut out wheat.
