I Have Ibs

I don't remember not having IBS. I was officially diagnosed at the age of 16. My life made so much sense. I react to dairy, corn, beans, peas, rye, and random foods. Sometimes grease affects me, other times it doesn't. It sucks. I'm always in pain. I ended up spending 10 hours in the ER one time because of it. The pain was so severe the doctor's believed my appendix was bursting. I was being prepped for surgery when they realized it was an IBS reaction. The doctor told me he'd never seen a case so bad. My current doctor is the same. Same with the gastroenterologist who diagnosed me. IBS is seen as a joke... But try living with it.

Hi. I don't like typing on an iPad so I'll be short, but it think I can help. I had IBS for 10 years. About three years ago I was diagnosed with SIBO from a breath test. Bloating, intolerance to almost everything (gluten, eggs, dairy, etc), sludge like stool everyday, flare ups when I had diarrhea all day and rotten egg burps (the worst). Anyways, I now know the culprit: coffee. It was tearing up my digestive system. After three or four days after switching to tea, all those symptoms are gone. I still have some urgency, and minor IBS type feelings, but my stool is virtually normal. I can't believe it, since I'm eating bad right now. If you even drink coffee once a day, give it up. This is rare to hear this, I know, but believe me it worked. Try it, thank me later. But give it up for at least a week. It takes time for your intestines to repair, but boy do they do.

You're missing my point. Coffee doesn't help. Quit it and I'm sure you'll improve

This is why you don't drink coffee in the first place. It tastes disgusting and I don't know how people like that crap.

I also have IBS. it sucks cause when I am at work and have to use the bathroom they are not always very understanding that IBS gives me diarrhea and I have to go now. not ten minutes from now and I did not have to go ten minutes ago when it was break time.
