I Am Feeling Close To A Mental Breakdown

I am worried about a lot of stuff, and myself. I cant see anything positive in my life, even if there are MANY! I just keep thinking of all the things going downhill, none of which are really all that serious. I mean everybody has a heartbreak, and career issues. I have a degree, I have a job, I have my whole life ahead to build on, but right now, I feel like a lost cause! scared and anxious, and depressed.

First of all, no one is a lost cause. Having everything you would want in an materialistic sense, doesn't make you happy. Happiness is something you receive by practicing compassion towards others, and by looking inward and to start asking yourself the big questions; Who are you and what do YOU want. Try to find out what causes this mental suffering, and always remember that life is not perfect and it never will be. Don't focus on the past, and don't make yourself go crazy of what might be ahead of you in the distant future. When you feel like it gets too much go outside if you can and just take a walk in nature, with no technology with you such as a phone. Don't rush, but take your time to calmly look at nature how it is without thinking about the past or future. Just look at that what you see in the now.

If you need advice on anything or someone to talk to, you can always send me a message. I wish you a wonderful day.

thats a pretty sound advice! I try to do that. I feel peaceful for a while and then I get back to this state. I am more worried about future and regret past. the guilt from past and the worry for future too way down on my present.

The saying goes....

You need someone to believe in you....

The support of dear ones. I have support of many when I feel down to this level. I mean deep inside believe... You have to believe in yourself coz others believe in you. Nobody can just take it all alone. Everyone has something they use time by time to stay focused and sane.
LittleCreates
You have to start believing....

Don't worry. You have me on your side now.... I don't need anything in return. Just want to make life of a good person great. I believe in you buujii :)

Yes, anxiety and depression are enough on their own, and even worse when they pair-up. I think at least some self-help books on both might be a good start, if not real, real support from a professional if you feel you need that. All the best to you my friend.
sometimeslonelytoo
Sounds like you have some good coping strategies in place already. I'm glad to hear it. I hope the good folk on here can sometimes be a comfort too :)

yeah, EP is great, keeping me sane :)
sometimeslonelytoo
Yes, I could say the same sometimes :)

Just find someone who can have faith in you and believe in you and accept you for who you are :3
doesn't necessarily have to be a boy friend even friends can make you feel awesome :)
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
doing exactly that!
bloomish

There are answers to your questions, but you must go within. Within is an internal guidance system. It is called many things, God, Life, The Universe. It is the largest part of you. Ask with sincerity. Also write down five things you are grateful for. Just try it. It works!
isis55
We tried that with my husband today, He was asked to write everything he should be grateful for. And none could include our son the family thearapest asked a half hour later for use to return our list and my husband handed over a blank piece of paper. I had about 20 things like being alive food and other things and the therapist asked my husband why he had left his sheet blank and he said just what was I supposed to write am I thankful for my life the answer is no, was I thankful for my work career, he said if I was not treated as a slave maybe I might have been thankful. As for friends the only ones I had all ran when you and my father decided I was a slave. He said thankful for the hope of the future. He said, After MRSA in his spine what future does he really have, Thankul he said he could find no facet of his life to be thankful for except our son. so that left him nothing to be thankful for.

Geez that's hectic

Equals me last week. Now i have this week so I'm trying to be productive. I think what helps me is if I don't think about my problems so much, but just DO everything i need to do. Do it without overthink. Turn off your mind. 😉🌻🌻❤️

I hope this week is better for you! *hugs*
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
that should work, thats what I did last week too, but the walls broke this week! thank you!! :)
YampaYonten
You have good advice. :)
doggpickle
There are tons of good answers here. I've been there too. I think everyone has. Though not at such a young age :) my advice - pick up a hobby or craft project like revamp a dresser or a cabinet or something. It sounds lame, but having a project and getting it done is great😜
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
yeah, I have picked up something, thank you :)

Life is ups and downs for most. Patient optimism through long low tides is hard. Not impossible tho. If you figure out some ways to give yourself little occasional victories. Sometimes exercise or reading helps.
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
thank you!
Actactualaredey
yw. hope your life gets better soon.
ThunderWaffles
Same. And I'll say to you, what I learned a few weeks ago when I finally broke down. Giving up, breaking down and getting help is not the worst thing you can do. I hope you feel better soon x
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
thank you!
ThunderWaffles
Anytime :)
erarmstrng
It is time for you to seek counseling. I have a counselor and I know without her I would have had several mental breakdowns. It might take you a couple for you to find the right one but once you do, let it all out
Sim47
I was in your exact situation. But things are turning around now slowly. I'm optimistic, you will find a way too ^^
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
I really hope so. I get optimistic for a week, then back to normal
vicjustvic
You should probably seek professional guidance before things get worse. Been here myself. Take care, please?
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
I will, thank you!
blowloudpack69
It may feel like that but you can change your outcome:) remember that!
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
I shall, thank you :)
blowloudpack69
No problem!:)
Glumie57
Don't ignore your feelings, cry in the shower if you have to.
Goeorgi12345
Are you ok? Sarcasm set aside
Bbgv14 · 31-35, F
Not really, I dont do stuff midway, its always the bloody extremes :)
Goeorgi12345

Firechidist
